Hey! For my project I need to replace a potentiometer on a subwoofer and all I know about it is it has three wires soldered to it and it says "A50k" on it's back. I am very new to electronics and am not sure how to find a replacement. I looked around on the internet and found mouser.com, but I don't know how to select a potentiometer. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Replace an A50k potentiometer
Mouser is a likely place to find it. Or eBay. Post a photo of it and someone can try to help ID it. The 50k part is the resistance. The A usually means audio (log) taper. If you have the old one out you can test it with an ohmmeter if you want to be sure which taper it is. Usually the main trouble is trying to find the same shaft type, length, pins, etc.
