Hi!
I hope that's a good place for this question, if not I'm sorry.
My company needs a 5V 10A power supply. We're interested in this one:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/658
The only question is: does it have CE certification?

One of the pictures on that product page shows a CE mark.

In my opinion it's China Export mark, so I'm waiting for adafruit team's confirmation. If it's CE mark I'd like to get a picture of certificate.

Re: Question about 5V 10A power supply
...It never crossed my mind it could mean that....that's a bit sneaky or even naughty. It looks identical to the CE logo. If it turns out to mean China Export / Chinese Export then I think it needs to be made clear on the Adafruit product page.In my opinion it's China Export mark,
...anyway, hopefully it means European CE
On the wiki page, section of China Export http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking#China_Export it shows both and on closer inspection it does look like China Export. Very similar.

Re: Question about 5V 10A power supply
As it says there at the link, there is no such thing as "China Export" marking or certification. It is a legend/myth/joke. The CE mark is a manufacture's declaration that their product conforms to rules/directives of the EU regarding their product. As such it is self-certifying. So they should have a certificate to go along with it and it looks like AF has requested that. However, if your product/project will receive any scrutiny in the US you would likely want a UL, CSA, or ETL mark on it. If you look at a Dell supply for example you will see a "shed load" of safety agency stamps on it. CE has no particular relevance in the US.

Re: Question about 5V 10A power supply
In the US not but I'm from EU and my project needs to work here, not in the US.
And of course there's no such a thing like China Export "marking/certification" but it's very popular to put this sign on a device even though it doesn't have CE certification. I've been looking for this kind of power supply for a few days. I've had around 10 situations that there was CE marking but seller didn't have any certificates when I asked about it. So it's sad but it's not "legend/myth/joke".
I don't want to look like a suspicious person but my project needs to be sold. I just have to be aware that if any part of it doesn't have CE then it can't go through tests in my country. And then I have around 1k power supplies but I can't use them. Soo I just need to check everything twice :)
