Velostat pressure/resistivity curve

Post by atricault »

Hello,

I bought a velostat sheet (http://www.adafruit.com/products/1361) to make a matrix pressure sensor with Arduino.
Every thing works, but now I'd like to convert read voltage in pressure.

For that I need a curve of resistivity VS pressure of the sheet.
Do you have that ?

No. The product is not specifically designed for pressure sensitivity, so there is no spec for it. In practice, sensitivity seems to vary quite a bit from sample to sample, so you would need to calibrate each one separately.

OK, thanks for your quick réponse.

Perhaps you have an idea if the curve is linear?

I don't believe it is linear. If it is, it would be only over a small range.
