Audio FX Soundboard triggered by input from Pro Trinket

Post by MrCurbsurfer »

Hi everybody,

I hope someone can help my with my project.

I wired my Triple Axis Accelerometer (https://www.adafruit.com/products/1231) to my Pro Trinket. I'd like to use the input that comes from the Accelerometer, being processed by the Pro Trinket to finally trigger sounds.

Example: Accelerometer detects tilt, Pro trinket processes and triggers Soundboard to play a sound.

I read the specs and watched the video to this

It's often emphasized, that you don't need a microcontroller with this. But can I use the output from my Pro Trinket to trigger sounds instead of buttons?

If not, is there another breakout I could use instead?

Best Regards

Dom

Sure. All you need to do is pull the pin low to make the sound play. Connect it to a digital output on your pro trinket. Write the output high normally, and low to trigger the sound. Make sure you have a ground connection between the trinket and the audio fx board
