Hook up battery to led and charger

Hello everyone from Italy, i'm looking for a solution to power up a led using a lipo battery, and at the same time charge the battery.
I haven't alrady found the right battery and led for my project but (assuming they are kinda common ones, like 3.7 1Ah lipo, and a led like the Cree XM-L)
This " https://www.adafruit.com/products/259 " product will do the job right? Connecting the load (led) and the battery, could i charge the battery whlie using the led?

Yes, that will work. Just be sure to add some current limiting to protect the LED.
