Adding Feedback Sensors to the Mini Pan-Tilt

Post by jml7693 »

Hello,

I have been researching through different pan and tilt options to add to my bread board camera, and I was wondering how easy it would be to add rotary sensors to both the pan and tilt to add feedback with position to the microcontroller. Additionally what sensors are recommended for the feedback?

Thank you,

I haven't tested to see if the analog feedback servos will fit. That would be the simplest way: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1449
Adding a potentiometer or rotary encoder is one possibility. Or you could possibly modify the existing servos to add an analog feedback line.
