Midi cc numbers for xoxbox ?

Postby insectred » Thu Feb 10, 2011 1:12 am

Does anyone have the midi cc numbers that correspond to xoxbox commands like glide etc ???
Would be much appreciated.

It doesn't work like that. It's basically just note data. If the notes overlap, it slides. And if I remember rightly, notes below a velocity of 100 play normally, 100+ and they are accented.

Easiest way to check this is to simply record a x0x pattern from the midi output into a computer midi sequencer, and you'll see whats going on

What would be cool is the ability to send cc to control cutoff etc but i imagine thats really hard. (never say impossible, but near enough!)

cheers

We are here too: irc.freenode.net >>> #x0xb0x
..:: c0nb0x v1.00 ::.. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29282 (new control app - win/osx)
VCO Tuning: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=24759 (do it the EASY way)

I think I read that Alex from x0xsource was working on that.. Not sure if he still is though?
It is definitely possible, but a lot of work, and im pretty sure i've never seen it done on a x0xb0x yet. My old Deep Bass 9 clone allows midi control of the cutoff, but im pretty sure that was about it for midi control of knobs on that.

i did it :)
this is how..
first i did a VCF CV in.
second i installed a vst plugin called silent way from http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/silentway.html
then i connected the VCF CV in to my RME FF400 headphones output (used a Y cable), because this is the only output with DC coupled.
then i opened an audio track in banned and loaded the DC plugin and then i could control the x0x VCF from the silent way plugin knob.
i didnt believed it even after i'v seen it with my own eyes :)
after that i did all kind of experiments..like record an automation and so..very very cool!!!
you can see how Phono use it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysHyjDDN ... r_embedded

cheers,
