Looking to purchase good quality second-hand x0x

Postby andrewj » Tue Apr 12, 2011 6:16 am

Hi.

I do music making quite frequently as a hobby, and I'd really like to invest in a second x0xb0x to put more emphasis on my interest for acid music. The music I make is on YouTube, here's the sound of my current x0x through basic disto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1gDUZt7-Fw

I'd prefer to look for a UK seller if possible, and I'm looking for a x0xb0x in good quality(maybe rare parts?).

The last x0xb0x I purchased was from x0xSource, sounds fantastic but too expensive to get again. I'm too worried about purchasing a kit because I have no prior soldering experience.

Any recommendations/buying info would be very helpful.

Thanks guys, appreciated :D

You'd be particularly lucky to find one for that money I think.. They don't tend to drop in value, as there is always some demand for built ones. I think you'd be looking at £400 minimum, new or used..

The cheapest way to get another would be a kit (£300'ish) and bribe a tech savvy friend to build it for you. But if they are not familiar with them, then it's still a good 2 or 3 days work!

Yeah I got mine for around 430, quite expensive. I'd like to seek some x0x's built for 300-350 then I'd consider purchasing one. And I had no idea kit prices were as much as that..

Compared to a 303 a x0x, even at 500 euro, is a bargain!
