Still haven't sent it

I got tied up with a book chapter and I've recently been dealing with some stupendous hail damage thanks to the 170 tornadoes that just ripped through the southeast... my car got bashed up to the tune of about $6,000 but wife's was unharmed. today on the way back from a work trip, i took a lug nut in the windshield of her car :x. another giant spider web crack to contend with.

don't worry, shipment is imminent

The custom engravings are always sent out individually anyway.

I can organise it for you or i can give you the email of the guy who does it. Its just a replacement panel :) - (rather than the one that comes with the kit being engraved, so no time limit. Ive sat on it for about 5 months).

You'd need a black and white (not greyscale) image, square, and at least 300dpi. I cant remember all the formats but TIF and EPS are definitely compatible. You can also get additional holes cut if you want but its quite a tight fit inside

If you want to email me or PM your image with your contact's postage address i will get it sorted :) Or if you'd prefer to deal direct with the engraver PM me and ill give you his email address.

Cheers

Ben

digital section done
ive got a few tweaks to do
as i made the freshman mistake
of not testing the led resistors first
and they are way too small for those super bright leds
so ive got some desoldering to do

Guest, if you don't already have a Hakko 808 desoldering gun, I highly recommend it! I just picked one up about a month ago, and now I don't know how I lived without it. It makes unsoldering work on double-sided boards EASY, without doing damage. It is also ten times faster than any other method I've tried.

That said, practice on a dead board first, not only does the sucker (pun intended) get extremely hot, it is faster than you'd think. The temperature is adjustable, took me a few minutes to get it dialed in so I could remove things without scorching the board. Once you get it dialed in and used to it, you can unsolder some pins in one second or less.
