sorry for the un-pro photo, at least you can see the details (already quite banged up from lugging it around):

All of these are accomplished in the methods described numerous times on the mods pages?? Very impressive array of possibilities I say. I have a second x0x that I am sitting on with the intention of modding as much as I can, except for snob mods like the PS warble. I am going to build it into a slightly larger case to accomodate the extra pots and switches. Very impressive shoe horning into the standard case on this one!

yeah, i think they are all pretty much detailed in the forum. i did my overdrive pot differently, using it as a voltage divider instead of a current limiter. that way it acts as a level control into the filter, from zero through normal to overdrive. accent decay may also have been my own find, but it might also be discussed somewhere.

i'd keep it in the original box if i were you. building a new case is a lot of trouble. there's lots of space on the plastic sides for extra pots and switches.

nice mods :)

i was wondering which mods are responsible for the percussive sounds around before 3:00 in the demo ? that sounds really good.

the percussive sounds are mostly from the accent decay mod. by making the accent decay really short, you get these loud short blips. it also sounds like the env modulation is pretty high (modified), making the other notes zap a little bit too. you can make all the notes sound like that accent by turning the decay all the way down too. the accent decay also determines the minimum env decay time, so you can get shorter blips on normal notes.

Do tell... how did you do your Overdrive... details gzifcak details... circuit layout pics are helpful as well ;o)

Tell us about the accent decay as well... you're sqeaking out some very different sounds then my x0xb0x

cheers

overdrive:
basically, i used an audio taper pot, with the input to the filter connected to the middle lug, the output of the oscillator (switchable with the filter input jack) connected to one outside lug, and the other outside lug connected to ground. the pot value doesn't really matter too much. the input of the filter also has the original resistor swapped, just like the version talked about here, to allow for overdrive when the pot is fully clockwise. in fact i think it starts overdriving at about 9 or 10 o'clock when fed by the internal oscillator.

accent decay:
i believe the resistor is r138. replacing it with a pot (and a small resistor in series is nice) gives you control over accent decay time, as well as the minimum env decay time. i saw a reference somewhere to another resistor that would change accent decay alone, but i'm not sure how.
