Ice tube clock problems

I have 2 ice tubes for the ice tube clock kit one was cracked so i was sent a replacement. the replacement came and i was unraveling the wires and one wire just broke off (i wasn't using a lot of force) so can i still use the cracked one because i need this for a school project that is in 2 weeks and i need to finish this.

Depends on how it is cracked. If it has cracked clear through there is probably a loss of vacuum (if thats what is in the tube)can i still use the cracked one

The cracked tube is not likely to light up. It needs a vacuum to work.
