Internet of Things printer button switch issue

Hi,

I bought Adafruit IoT Printer Project Pack "Internet of Things" printer the other day and successfully built that up two weeks ago.

Then I noticed that the switch included in the kit wouldn't stay on unless keep pressing the button. So I was wondering that the switch might be a momentary button switch as opposed to on/off switch or, simply broken. Is there any way to check if that's the case?

Hi Taka,

The power switch does need to be pressed fairly 'deep' (maybe about 4mm) before it clicks over to the 'on' position. Give that a try, maybe with the tip of a pen if need be.

Otherwise...we do stock a momentary version of this button, and it's possible there was a mix up when packaging the kits. If you indeed have a momentary button there, please email support@adafruit.com (and include a link to this thread) to arrange for a replacement.
