Help with powering an amplifier using battery pack

Postby vivitron18 » Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:31 am

I would like to use this amplifier

http://www.minicircuits.com/MCLStore/Mo ... 4335395869 using this

http://www.adafruit.com/products/368

with a battery pack. http://www.adafruit.com/products/248

Will this battery pack work? Or is there something else better??

Thank you friends.

Your amplifier link doesn't work. What are the power requirements of the amp?

Your search criteria did not return any results. Please look up the models below:

Will this jack and 7v DC requirement work with this setup?

Jack http://www.adafruit.com/products/368

Female DC Power adapter - 2.1mm jack to screw terminal block -

with a battery pack. http://www.adafruit.com/products/248

6 x AA battery holder with 5.5mm/2.1mm plug -

Thank you

With 6x rechargeable cells you will get 7.2v. That should be close enough. 6x alkalines would be 9v which is probably too much.

With no current spec, I have no idea what the run-time would be.

wW or mW? That sounds more like an output spec than an input spec. In either case, you should be good for several hours with that pack.
