Brain machine (troubleshooting)

hello i purchased a brain machine (from the makershed) and i was very impressed with its user friendliness unfortunately after construction the right led didn't light up.

If you could get a shot of the solder side with the same quality & lighting as the front view that would be great. There are a couple of suspicious areas (circled below).

You may have some 'cold joints' there. The solder joints should be smooth and shiny. Touch up anything that looks rough or frosted. There appears to be something bridging between one end of R4 and the nearby battery terminal. If this is solder, you need to remove it.

i touched up the joints by the blue and green wire and the circled , i waited till they got shiny,then wicked up.

There appears to be something bridging between one end of R4 and the nearby battery terminal. If this is solder, you need to remove it.

there is no bridging between r4 and the battery (only from the angle the picture was taken)

If you could get a shot of the solder side with the same quality & lighting as the front view that would be great.

i apologize, i took a shot in the same condition for the back of the board as the front but it didn't come out good.

The other thing to check is the polarity of the LED. If it is connected in reverse, it will not light.

I am pretty sure i was careful to follow all directions in regards to the polarity of the led. what should i do now, should i reverse the blue and green wires?

Yes. If that doesn't work. We can try replacing the LED.
