Beaglebone not booting after reimage

Beaglebone was working fine both on serial and LAN.

I reimaged the SD drive from the Mac using xz -dkc Angstrom-Cloud9-IDE-GNOME-eglibc-ipk-v2012.05-beaglebone-2012.04.22.img.xz | sudo dd of=/dev/disk1.
That seemed fine.

When I plug in the card to the bone, it blinks maybe 2 seconds and then hangs; a LED remains lit or stays dark.

Did the board fry itself, or is it me?

hmm did you overwrite the original image on the microSD card (vs using a new/different card) or can you re-boot from that?

It's the original card.

I can see the FAT files on the Mac.

And I can see the Linux partition using diskutil list.

Found the problem. I was loading up the newest version. And that version is buggy. See BeagleBoard on Google Groups.

Older version boots just fine.
