Is there a way to set the time using buttons (hour set, minute set) and the adafruit rtclib?
Also, how to I get 12 hour formatted time instead of the 24 hour time?

The "adjust" function in the DS1307 library allows you to set the time. For examples of setting time using buttons, you should look at the source code for clock projects such as the Monochron.
