controlling servos

Postby Honus » Mon Jun 18, 2007 10:13 pm

I was thinking about using the MIDIsense to control standard R/C servos using the ServoCenter 3.1 MIDI controller:

Does this make sense? I'm using it for animatronics and it looks like it would be a really great simple to use set up. I just need the servos to accurately follow the bend in a flex sensor. I'm currently using a MAKE controller but I'm going to need more servos for a future project than the MAKE controller can handle as the MAKE controller only has four PWM servo outputs.

Thanks for any advice! :P

sadly the midisense resistive kit does not support servos, but you could connect such a device to the output of the midisense, no problem!

Cool- thanks! My birthday is at the end of the month so I know what I'll be ordering. :P The two boards connected together should make for a really slick setup.

a friend of mine has hooked servos up to midi before with very little in the way of circuitry...I'll try to find out what he did...
