what does this mod do exactly?

it allows the x0x to be gated by a 606

what does that mean? as far as i know, the 606 has 2 trigger outputs, and a 303 has a gate output. what am i missing here?

The TR606 has no gate in! The x0x has no gate in, what is this mod all about?
Is it something to do with din sync?

sorry about that
the 606 we had been playing with was modded to have a trig in
which did not work with the diode in the circuit
the diode was limiting the turn off time
