How do I do Hertz...?

Postby magician13134 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 7:57 pm

So I was looking at the MIRT and after some research I found that it's simply an 18Hz pulsing from and IR LED... Ok so 1/18 = 0.0556 or 5.5mS. So what do I do with that? Is it on for 5.5mS, then off for 5.5mS? IS it on for 5.5/2mS? Thanks

on for 27.8 ms, but what sort of jackass would build one. imagine trying to cross the street in a city where every driver thought they ought to be able to cross an intersection on demand.

what a world. what a world.

Well I guess I'm a jackass then :D
But in all seriousness, I don't use the stuff I make for evil, even the TV-B-Gone and the Capslocker (once I get it made), it's just fun to make. And how did you figure 27.8? I thought it was 2.78... and then does that mean it is off for that amount of time as well?

(Plus I don't live in a city, and I haven't even seen any of those receivers anywhere yet, it may take some searching)

1/(18Hz) ~= 0.0555 sec = 55.5ms, so on time ~= 27.78ms. you let your decimal point get away from you.
Well I guess I'm a jackass then
ah, well, most of us are...

Just make sure you got the tens of thousands to pull out of your pocket if you get caught. I don't know if leaving around major components of such a device is illegal, incase of an emergency (worth said fines) to pop together and use. Anyways, its only if you get caught... ;-)
