fm transmitter

Postby Serkan » Mon Jun 09, 2008 1:33 am

hey anyone i was just wondering something. on the schematic the audio signal goes to the fm transmitter and the headphone jack on the same connection. this is where the transmitter gets it signal from.

If no music was playing and the mintie was fed a signal from another audio device (not as cool as the minty) in the headphone jack as a line in would the fm transmitter get it and feed it out with no modifications necessary?

Would the signal fry the other stuff?

I really see nothing holding this back.

I am not trying to dis the minty or cannibalize its functions but i jsut want to explore other functions.

Ladyada or some with a minty could you please try this?

I thought about this myself too and I am pretty sure it'd work. You'd just have to turn on the minty and pause the music

P.S. make sure to have a long line in cable. I don't know about other people, but my attempt at making the case the antenna failed. (horribly weak signal) I thought all was lost, but I did discover that my headphones act as an antenna. Current running theory is case contacts a ground thus sending the FM signal up the ground wire on my headphones.
