2 new DC BoArduinos + FTDI not loading sketche

Maybe this is due to the cable? its the "USB FTDI TTL-232 cable - TTL-232R 3.3V"

and states it uses 3.3V for signalling versus 5V - should that matter?

did the Arduino software work?

I used the Arduino IDE to compile the code, then took the avrdude commandline and put that in a terminal with "-v" set to give the most useful instrumentation - ie, it let me know when a successful write took place (failed on reads/verifies)

Hello. I too have the same problem darthracing spoke of: I have to unplug my FTDI cable then replug whenever I want to upload a new sketch. If I desolder the capacitor on the Boarduino that deals with auto-reset, will this resolve the issue?

UPDATE: I checked the "Set RTS on close" option in the advanced COM port settings and auto-reset is now working fine. I found the answer on these forums. Thanks! I loved my Boarduino but now that it's fixed, I REALLY love it!
