Ask an Engineer - when???

Postby AnnaOnWeb » Fri May 21, 2010 8:26 pm

Hi, what a pity ...

... because Europeans can chat with you only at 4-5 AM on Sundays here. And a real NYer does not have sth else to do at his/her time? Hmmm, it might be that the NightLife starts in NY later than here :-( It obviously does ...

That 4-5 AM here is the time on Sundays when it happened to me twice (!!!) to meet burglars (once face to face!!!) in my house within 10 yrs - no joke! More of the facts provided on request. The most logical decision should be: Get a weapon and stay up at this time :-) But it is a very complicated process to get the authorization for me owning a weapon here in Germany - and I would absolutely not appreciate if that would be changed.

To get to the point:

I think many of your customers are living in Europe. I do not know how many of your customers are located in the Asian/Pacific-Area. But that is what I learned from the forums. Might it be possible to provide this chat at a different time which is pleasant for Europeans and you too? Or a second one??? Workday 2 PM or so?

Just an idea. But thank you for your patience.

Have fun and success at your live-chat tomorrow!

And thank you for your work and have a nice day,

Anna

Hey there Anna! I can tell you two things. 1.) A true party doesn't start till 11pm. And 2.) no matter what time we do "Ask an Engineer" chat, it would be inconvenient for someone.

We do record them and post them here. Does that at least help a bit?

Thanks!

Hi George,

thank you and: yes you are right! But here in Hamburg, Germany a true party does not start before 1 AM and I am getting too old for that )-: I should move to Munich...
And I know also that you will never ever find a fixed date and time for that chat. It was only a question.

UUUh OOOh - for you this is a party? For me it would be an appointment for qualified support - online and having some fun too.

Nichts fuer ungut - no translation available, sorry.

Have fun tomorrow night and a nice Sat.

Ladyada is usually drinking a tasty beverage, I guess that makes it a party. :)

How about doing one show a month or once every few months that is at a better time for people in Europe?

there isn't a "better time" for any one group of people, it's 10pm EDT every saturday night, the chat is records and can be viewed after at any time.
