:D

All connections are the same so the stock firmware should run with a simple modification to the chip definition file (hopefully). With what I know this will work.

The x0xi0 should work , its just hardware mods , yeah?
Plug in play yes.
It should be available late July. Cost around $50 built . Blank boards will be available as well.

looks good (and suits my avatar lol)

any chance you can make the solderpads for the thru hole components round?
this will make the overal print more reliable

as for the x0xI0, the cpu is on another place on the pcb, its on the side (near the switches)
Will it connect with a flatcable?

Yeah I am going to change the pads . I prefer round .
I have the i/o connectors like that as it was near impossible to trace with IDE. I will probably re-arrange them slightly for easier connection. These will be used for hacking so removable pins will be the best.
I am putting this directly on to a new board I am working on.

I will go and look at the x0xi0 site at his boards.

is there a crystal mounted on the board
or are those long traces going to the mainboard crystal

if its on the mainboard
the crystal may not work so well
being that far away from the driver on the micro

yes, it will work fine with the standard x0x pcb.
The custom mainboard is different though, much tighter, it's all the way on the side. With the current layout the adapter pcb would have to be located in a different spot and wire/cable used to connect to the existing footprint.

Regarding the crystal, definitely put it on the new board right next to the micro.

II was going to ask about the crystal. Done.
The x0xi0 is a tight fit. A different board might be required .

if it doesnt fit with custom x0xI0 pcb, i'm afraid i'll have to opt-out till it does. :(

Ok. Who else needs it to fit with the x0xi0?
I will just have to do another board for this too. I have a little time before my next pcb run. I'll see how it goes :D
