LEDs work, TV stays on

Postby InternationalLog » Fri Sep 03, 2010 4:31 pm

I have assembled my kit, tested it at all steps, and at the end, I can see the IR LEDs flashing for a couple of minutes when I use a digital camera. However, my TV is unaffected. Should I assume that the code for my TV is not included in the firmware, or is it possible that I have assembled the kit incorrectly?

I would go with assumption 1 until proven otherwise. Try it on other tvs and check to make sure it was programmed for your region.

Thanks. I always assume that I must have messed up, but the device appeared to work properly. I'll take it out for a spin, fingers crossed.

The only other explanation I can think of would be if there was a fault with the resonator, and the AVR was running too fast or slow.

I am not sure, but I guess this would allow the codes to be transmitted but they would be at the wrong frequency and thus would not actually work...

Maybe I'll see if I can clock the time it takes to run through the entire sequence and compare it to the "standard" run time.

From video setup, starting the device, through completion:
1'02.
How long does yours take to run?

From switch on, the green LED flashes for about 48 seconds on mine. Note I am using the EU codes on mine.
