Can't wait! Shitting myself about resoldering the two 2200 caps to get it to fit in, might need an electrician for that! I'm no whizz with a soldering iron...

Re: New 303-style Aluminum Enclosures • finally

Postby SubStyler » Mon Nov 15, 2010 6:04 pm

yo x0xers

so finally they are here! starting today we deliver our aluminum enclosure kits, so orders are welcome
three words: they look awesome!!

the kits comes with a set of new 2200uF electrolytic condos, hooked up with cables and heat shrink sleeve, because you have to modify your power supply board.
the ON/OFF switch will be pre-installed in the backplane. all screws are included and a metal angle to stabilize the front panel. of course a little manual tells you how to do! but trust me: it's easy like doing a step! you have to be really lazy if you didn't do that in less than 15 minutes :)

this kit comes without knobs, so you can choose your favorite knobs.
we also have a really nice selection of toggles and aluminum knobs, particularly selected for this kit. (pics coming later)

the enclosure kit costs 85 euro each. not really cheap... but we think it's worth. the knob kit costs 19,90 euro but if you order the enclosure kit with knobs you'll get it for just 99 euro!
shipping costs: germany 6,90 euro, EU 16 euro, rest of the world 22 euro.

this is what we deliver:
Top-panel with welded screw mounts
bottom plate
aluminum side rails
frontpanel
backplane with built in ON/OFF switch
set of 2200 uF electrolytic condos
screws
manual

cheers,
SubStyler

PS. on that picture you see two top-panels wrapped with foil, this is just for showing you the design of the top-panels. you'll receive a top-panel and matching bottom plate of course :)

Hi banned,
I'd like to order the aluminium enclosure & silver knobs for 99€ plus UK delivery 16€.
What's the best way to go about it?
I've no soldering experience, is the transfer into the new enclosure difficult?
Kind regards
Keith

That looks the ‘Dog’s Nads’ (that’s a compliment for those not familiar with the vernacular! I like that you are including two replacement caps pre-wired, a nice touch. But I am torn, between pure gear lust :D and the reality that my x0x doesn’t sound right (and therefore doesn’t warrant any more being spent on it).

Otherwise I would have been all over this like a rash. :P
