Trouble updating to SakkOS

Postby PUMPHOUSE » Tue Dec 28, 2010 11:10 pm

I just bought a Midiot built x0xb0x, and the guy I bought it from says it had sakkOS 1.9.1, but it doesn't have any of those features, so I tried to follow all the instructions here

http://www.ladyada.net/make/x0xb0x/manu ... index.html

to update the OS.

I can't figure out the commAPI installation! The three files it list are not in the folder! I got a comm.jar, comm1.1.txt and the readme file. I'm so confused and very upset! Someone please help I don't know anything about this kinda stuff!

was it changed? All the boxes I shipped had sokkos on it.

What OS are you running on your comp? The old documentation is a little dated

What makes you think that it does not have sokkos?

An easy way to check is to run a pattern in sync out mode and change the function to pattern edit while it is running, if it keeps playing it is running sokkos, if it stops, it is something else.

Okay, I'm so embarrased, I was running in pattern edit mode and realized the looping function only works in sync out mode, It does have SakkOS on it! Thanks!
