XoX firmware write error (5)

Hi guys, I'm new here and hoping someone can help. I've just moved from the UK to the US and had my XoX shipped. I'm pretty sure it got Xrayed coming through customs and that messed up the firmware - I had a similar thing when it first got shipped from Hong Kong and updating the firmware sorted it.

I'm using exactly the same method I did before - c0ntr0l and the original .hex. I am able to connect to the XoX but when I try and flash the firmware I now get a write fail error (5) - saying I don't have permission.

I'm looking for a way around this/some help. It's something I haven't come across yet.

sounds like the file is open elsewhere or something
a computer problem

you could try the old fashioned way withough cOntr0l
its a bit of a pain
but might work
