Re: Arduino Nano Every with FONA 808 GPS Compile Errors

Many thanks for your help Mike, I've persevered with trying to get the Nano Every working with the FONA 808. I've made a little progress and had some success but things are getting a little over my head. It's been a long time since I've done any C++ so I was a bit rusty. Sorry this is a bit of an es...

Re: RFID WiFi Reader problems

I added some debugging code to my sketch. I can replicate the problem by disconnecting the PN532 and reconnecting it and at this point assume that I'm getting a condition where the card resets and I lose communication with it. When the card is disconnected, I don't get version data, but when I recon...

Re: query Adafruit via IFTTT or similar sevices

Not with IFTTT or Zapier, those integrations currently only allow you to publish data to a feed.

Re: PTC06 V3.0 "No ctrl infr" issue

Have you tried running CommTool with that setup? It sounds like you only tried that using the Arduino bridge setup. Using your serial-to-USB adapter, can you get some basic things to work in CommTool? Like the version query:

LE Connect iOS app with Thermal Camera

Hi All, I have searched the docs and this forum (found an unanswered query from 2018 asking the same thing) : How do you use the Thermal Camera example within the app? What format does the app request the serial data for this to display? I am hoping it is a simple matter of formatting the temp data ...

Re: FONA 800 - problem with getting RSSI

Hmm.. there's no obvious reason for an RSSI query to have any effect on SMS messages.

Try adding a couple of print statements at the top of loop() to see if the .available() test succeeds or fails.

PC Motherboard & Neopixel / Ultra Skinny Neopixel

Hi I'm relatively new to addressable RGBs, but I have a query regarding compatibility of Neopixel and Ultra Skinny neopixel with PC motherboards that have addressable RGB headers (5V, 3 pins). Are Adafruit's LEDs compatible with those addressable RGB headers? Such as Aura Sync? Do they work just lik...

Re: Getting FONA 3G / Raspberry Pi 3B+ to Connect to Intern

Yes, the FONA has its own networking stack. Section 16 of the Command Set Manual lists the commands that are available to set and query internet connection parameters: http://www.adafruit.com/datasheets/SIMCOM_SIM5320_ATC_EN_V2.02.pdf And there's an app note that specifically discusses TCP/IP and PP...

Re: Turning a relay off when a call ends.

Hi, That's something I also needed some time ago... and found a solution. You can query the callstatus with fona.getCallStatus() (or in AT commands : AT+CPAS) If it returns 3, the phone is ringing If it returns 4 it is busy/engaged When it returns 0 call ended (or no call begun) It's also somewhere ...

Strung out on Strings - SD.open on Feather M0 RFM95

Hello, First time poster but have been using the Feather devices for some time with great success until now. I suspect my downfall in the query below is the handling of strings (which has always been a personal pain point in coding). Hopefully someone has a surefire answer. The short story is I'm us...

Re: Newbi - project with BLE Beacon / Advertising

I am trying to do something similar, and I agree: the documentation is hard to come by. I, too, have tried using the post you reference as a starting point; however, I see the same data being transmitted over and over. And, the 31 bytes of data make no sense to me. I have tried using Bluefruit.Adver...
