Re: Product Help: UV/IR Sensor Query

For anybody interested in the full code, including sending the sensor values to your smartphone over bluetooth, it's here: #include <Arduino.h> #include <SPI.h> #include <Wire.h> #include "Adafruit_BLE.h" #include "Adafruit_BluefruitLE_SPI.h" #include "Adafruit_BluefruitLE_U...

Re: Product Help: UV/IR Sensor Query

I'll be curious to see what you learn about those coatings. If you're open to suggestions -- try clear nail polish. That 'milky' appearance is definitely one of the problems I found after a few years. Nail varnish might not be the most practical solution because I eventually want to coat all 10 of ...

Re: Product Help: UV/IR Sensor Query

Just wanted to say that I've completed my little sensor design and using Adafruit's libraries and example code got everything up and running in less than an hour. You guys are truly outstanding, esp Lady Ada as this was her code. This is why I buy from Adafruit time and time again. Great job, guys. ...

Rework Station Malfunction [Quick 957DW+]

The unit fails to blow hot air. The message “F-E” is shown on the display instead of the current temperature. Similar query here: https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=127219 We left the unit unplugged as suggested in the above thread, but the error has not cleared. Please assist in r...

Re: Product Help: UV/IR Sensor Query

I'll be curious to see what you learn about those coatings. If you're open to suggestions -- try clear nail polish. Last year I had a few used solar garden lights (the ones that you can get for like $5, they recharge a small battery during the day and then turn on at night) and they weren't working ...

Re: Problem with BeagleboneBlack PWM by using Adafruit_BBIO

Updated ! : After looking for many topics, there seems to be a comment that using older Kernel probably resolve the problem. Then I use > cd /opt/scripts/tools/ > sudo git pull > sudo ./update_kernelsh --lts-4_4 > sudo reboot After reboot, the result of > cat $slots is as below debian@beaglebone:~$ ...

Re: Product Help: UV/IR Sensor Query

Something like that seems like a good way to do it. It sounds like you're already doing this, but check out the actual sensor response in the datasheet(s). Like Fig. 7 for the Si1145: https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/Si1145-46-47.pdf and Fig. 4 for the VEML6070: https://cdn-learn.adafruit.co...

Product Help: UV/IR Sensor Query

Just need some product help, trying to identify an Adafruit product(s) that meets my project need. I am looking to apply a coating on my solar panels to prevent / reduce UV damage. I have identified a few such coatings which I'd like to test. My test will be to essentially measure how much UV is blo...

Using AdafruitHTTPServer on Wiced Feather. Where do I find "

Hello! This is a simple question (I think). I am having trouble finding out where the "POST" data is supposed to be. I am using the AdafruitHTTPServer class on the Wiced Feather. I have a simple HTML form that submits using a POST method. The handler is called correctly and the "query...

Re: 6 thermocouples using MAX31850, max sample rate

I have not done any performance testing on these particular sensors. But the one-wire devices in general are quite slow. However, with multiple sensors, you can increase the effective throughput by performing the temperature readings asynchronously. The library allows you to initiate a non-blocking ...

What software is preloaded on the Bluefruit nRF52 Feather?

I thought I could use the Bluefruit LE app and its Pin I/O feature out of the box. I can see the device fine in the app, but when I connect and choose Pin I/O mode I get "No response to capability query" after a pretty long wait, it then assumes Arduino Uno it seems from the feedback, and ...

Rugged PB Switch Mating Pins

I have a project in which I intend to use several Rugged Metal Pushbuttons such as the Adadfurit Product ID 2093 and would prefer to use mating pins (as shown in the Adafuit catalog photos) rather than soldering directly to the switches. Can you specify an appropriate pin? Does Adafruit vend these? ...
