Rugged PB Switch Mating Pins

I have a project in which I intend to use several Rugged Metal Pushbuttons such as the Adadfurit Product ID 2093 and would prefer to use mating pins (as shown in the Adafuit catalog photos) rather than soldering directly to the switches. Can you specify an appropriate pin? Does Adafruit vend these? ...

Re: Waiting forever....Adafruit Bluefruit LE SPI Friend

Thanks for the advice! I actually figured out a SPI "ping" similar to the one you're suggesting ... much cruder, mind you but seems to work. I'll try your suggestion... much more eloquent. The "factory reset" issue turns out to have been a "red herring" ... I had condit...

Re: Quiet Audio FX board (Motorola MT500 Ghostbusters prop)

It seems like a simple query but not a single person has responded? I'm not trying to do anything really complicated here. Is there any support available at all?

Re: Hakko FX-888D Preset settings

It has been a long time since this has been posted, however this is a top result for the Google query "FX-888D preset mode doesn't work." (I'm actually surprised the Adafruit people who replied weren't familiar with this!) Hopefully this post will help other people who are searching for th...

3.5" TFT Breakout's SD Card Detect pin?

Hello all, I have one of your 3.5 inch TFT touchscreens (Model 2050) and I just love it. I'm running mine with an Arduino Uno in SPI mode with a Samsung 2GB SD card. The only issue I had was I found that some brands of SD cards worked better than others. For example, Kingston 2GB cards don't seem to...

Re: Serial Blocks missing

Also, for anyone coming across this, I submitted a query through make.code and got this reply : Thanks for reaching out. This is a good bug. We did a recent release where we replaced the Serial blocks with “Console” blocks. We had gotten feedback that students didn’t know what Serial data meant/did....

Re: ESP8266 i2c hangups

So further testing suggests that it might not be an i2c issue after all. To use the DS3231 Feather for the Feather Huzzah ESP8266, I found the RTClib which I've been using a few years now no longer works, so I've found a different library that operates very similarly yet also exposes the ability to ...

I'd like to suggest an addition to the AMG88xx library...

I noticed this afternoon that the default Adafruit AMG88xx library has the following behavior: in the Adafruit_AMG88xx::begin() method, although the method returns a boolean, at no point does the method seem to actively query the AMG88xx that's been initialized, to see if it's actually there; nor do...

Re: Remotely controlling a hydraulic arm based on input

I think we're over thinking the software side of the project Not sure how asking questions about the physical capabilities of the system is overthinking the software. In any case, this isn't a matter of 'software vs hardware'. It is a system that all has to work together. You can't do physical comp...

3G GPS location

Hello, I am trying to use the FONA 3G chip for a project and I am now trying to get GPS location. The FONA chip (https://www.adafruit.com/product/3147) is being driven by a Arduino Uno R3, and wired as instructed in the wiring guide, including 1200mAh liPo, active GPS antenna, and GSM antenna. I hav...

Re: Failure to factory reset

Hi -- just had a similar issue with the Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE with Stacking Headers - Assembled PRODUCT ID: 3242. Programming it using version 1.8.5 of the Arduino IDE on OSX 10.11.6. Everything was working great -- had a nice eddystone beacon app running that read pH data RX on Feather...

No response to capability query

Howdy! I am trying to use a Flora Bluefruit LE to communicate with my Circuit Playground Express through the app for Android. When I use the Pin/IO mode, I get an error that says, "No response to capability query. Assuming default pin format (Arduino Uno)." This gives me a list of pins tha...
