Re: Secure REST

Adam, I have the GET working by URL encoding the key in a query parameter, but can't seem to figure out the POST syntax as URL encoded. Can I include both the AIOkey and value as query parameters (comma separated) or do they have to be in the header? Does is have to be JSON? Thanks for all of your h...

2300 hot power input

Edit: I originally asked which display would suit me, no help there so I took a chance on the 2300 and it’s great, except the DC in gets very hot, should it get this hot? It’s like burny fingers hot, not the plastic but some of the pins and little circuit bits around it (sorry, not technical terms h...

Re: Secure REST

To authenticate via HTTP, you'll have to pass your IO Key via either the "X-AIO-Key" header or as a query parameter named "X-AIO-Key". It's documented in our raw API spec , but isn't being displayed by our API documentation tool, strangely. I'm looking into that. You can see an e...

Re: FONA 3G - GPS not returning data

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I used the following code to enable GPS and get the GPS status (copied from the FONAtest sketch): /********* ENABLE GPS **********************************************************/ fona.enableGPS(true); int8_t stat; // check GPS fix stat = fona.GPSstatus(); if (stat...

updated client IO library

The announcement mentions updates to the certificate fingerprints. Perhaps I misunderstand how they are to be used? I have some code running on and ESP8266 which follows the examples provided for secure client connections. It recently stopped working because the "verifyFingerprint" functio...

Re: Help! CPLAYBOOT not available

Thanks! I was just typing up a query about checking your order to see whether you got the Circuit Playground Express or Classic pack. I hope you can use what you have successfully. You should be able to use it just fine with https://code.org/circuitplayground. Or if the incorrect kit was ordered let...

Re: Connect Trinket M0 to Pi 3 USB without mounting drive?

The CIRCUITPY drive is provided by CircuitPython, so yes, using Arduino instead would probably remove that problem. When I first saw your query, I did some searching to see if there were complaints about something similar. Most of what I found was enabling (not disabling) the ability to boot from an...

Slow redraw on 128x64 OLED screen

I have a Raspberry Pi Zero W connected to a this 128x64 OLED screen and it works, but when I update the screen image it it extremely slow. I can see the refresh/draw line move down, it takes about 1 second to update the whole screen. which is very far off from the fluid animations I see advertised o...

FONA 3G - GPS not returning data

Hi, I have Adafruit FONA 3G Cellular + GPS Breakout (European) connected to an Arduino UNO R3. I seem to be having issues getting any GPS data from it, despite leaving it for an hour or so. I am using a GPS Antenna - External Active Antenna - 3-5V 28dB 5 Meter SMA cable and a Adafruit SMA to uFL/u.F...

no control with digitalWrite in bleart_cmdmode loop(void)

Uno with Bluefruit LE UART friend (#2479) running bleart_cmdmode example code. Back and forth UARTing with an iPhone using the Bluefruit LE Connect for iOS works just fine. Adding a little blink LED code to bleart_cmdmode setup and loop results in no change on the Uno pins. I thought it might be a f...

Re: Adafruit Feather 32u4 FONA Time

Hi, i have the same problem, did you solve it? A couple of things: 1) I had to edit Adafruit_FONA.cpp to change the APN name for the SIM Card I bought 2) I added some DEBUG output to make sure the APN was set correctly 3) Here's what I get when I try to turn on GPRS: FONA> G Using APN: wholesale ---...

Re: PWM Shield query

Many thanks for the quick replies guys. In essence I'm trying to use the shield board as a convenient connection point with all necessary parts already assembled. I'm using 8 servos off of the mega currently but have had power supply issues etc. I'll stick to what I have then. Thanks again.

Re: PWM Shield query

Can I send the pwm signal out of the PWM pinout on the Arduino mega through my Dsub connector to the PWM pins on the PWM shield and then have that drive the servos or do I need to use the IC12 channel and code it? That is not possible. The PWM pins on the shield are outputs - not inputs. It would a...

Re: PWM Shield query

Using the Mega you can run up to 48 servos directly. Depending on your code needs it may be better to off-load the PWM timing task to a PWM shield. The PWM shield only communicates via i2c so you would have to adjust your code to use the PWM library. Can I send the pwm signal out of the PWM pinout o...
