Re: User Intereface

Please note the infowidget server address is now 72.14.176.143 be sure to update your widget! Also, it appears that the ybox code (original) samples don't work on the ybox2 - I can compile all but when running on the ybox2 they work to varying degrees - is that correct? The hardware on the ybox2 is...

Re: User Intereface

Thx. I've tried lots of binaries from various spin projects (some work better then others) but now I can't get the infowidget to work again - it only displays (looks like) the data form the query (html code). Thought I saw an entry in the forum about this but I can't find it. Also, it appears that t...

EM-406A max update rate?

Hi, this question is in regardance to EM-406A. It doesn't say explicitly in the datasheet what the maximum update rate is, but the "NMEA command in" implies you can only configure the output rate as fast as 1Hz. However, there is also a "query" option. If I query the gps faster t...

MotorShield Frequency!

:D Hello to all! I have a query about the audibility of PWM frequency while controlling the tape speed of a walkman. MotorShield works perfectly but the PWM is very audible whatever the frequency setting! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce this noise? Thanks, Goatboy :)

Re: Any new development..

Well, I don't know if this would be possible, but... How about a dedicated receiver/logger for a Tweet-A-Watt? If it is possible to add an SD card for storage, would the propeller have the power to handle receiving and logging the data? The perfect combo would be to add an Xbee to the mix as well, h...

Re: x0xi0 Mod - Full kit 1st Run Details

Brian, A quick and general query about the parts to be left out. I'm building a new x0x to fit the mods to, it's currently complete apart from the LEDs, it's all checked and tuned (yay me!). I appreciate you giving a list of the parts to be left out to fit the full mod - but, in reality would it not...

Re: upgrading xbee

Ack! I was upgrading the fw on one of my xbees for the tweet-a-watt, and I think it's broken now. I was running x-ctu inside of Parallels running XP. The upgrade got some kind of error that I didn't record. Since then, I don't get a flashing green LED on my adapter. Then I connected it all up to my ...

Can the TIMEOUT Be Set with the WIZNET / Ethernet Shield?

Hi Everyone! I'm using a Duemilanove with an ADAFRUIT Ethernet Shield and the WizNet module. The Arduino and shield sends requests to our web server and gets back the response. Everything is working fine...most of the time. About every 10th time the Arduino and Ethernet shield sends a query to the s...

Xbee connection not working

Hey guys, I just bought the xbee adapter kits (2) and was trying out the connection and encountered some problems. Could anyone please tell me which additional tests I can do to get this thing working? I am using XBee 802.15.4, and these are the steps I took so far -checked tx rx wiring connections ...

Unable to communicate with XBee

Hey all, I'm working with an XBee with the adapter kit, and I'm having some major problems I hope y'all can help with: - I have the pins connected via a null modem cable to a USB-Serial adapter on my PC. This works with all of my other serial hardware, but XBee doesn't seem to want to talk. - I've s...

Re: WIFI Newbie Query

Yea - looks like XBEEs are the way to go. What I had in mind was a power-monitor... and of further browsing, it looks as though LadyAda actually has one of these herself... which makes things somewhat easier :) I'd really like something where the receiving thing plugs into a router though... so it j...

Re: WIFI Newbie Query

As ladyada describes - there are many ways to do this, and it really depends on you requirements - Is there a connection method they must use? which of these is acceptable or are they both: IP based network connection, or COM port connection What is the maximum distance they must communicate? How mu...

WIFI Newbie Query

Hello folks I'm looking for some way of getting a remote arduino-powered sensor to talk via wifi directly to a laptop. So um... that means either some sort of xbee type gizmo that can talk to a laptop wifi reciever... or (more likely I suspect), an xbee type gizmo that talks to another xbee, plugged...

Re: Xbee Accident

query it from the X-CTU program, and see if you're able to read the firmware version or modem type. If that works, goto the BIOS setting screen and see if you can read in all of the BIOS settings? I would then test it by sending some wierless data. If all of that works you're probably good to go, bu...
