Bluefruit Pin I/O Mode No response

I'm using the example sketch for Circuit Playground and the Flora Bluefruit LE module. When I try to get the pin I/O from the app, it gives me the message "No response to capability query, Assuming default pin format (Arduino Uno)." I've tried downloading more libraries, but I can't get it...

Re: Pyportal Weather program

Just to clarify, I'm getting the code and all the bitmaps and stuff by clicking this to get the zip file: project_zip.jpg And then I'm not changing anything location wise, so I'm still using the downloaded default: # Use cityname, country code where countrycode is ISO3166 format. # E.g. "New Yo...

Re: Epoxy Thermistor results query

How long can the thermistor and wiring be in near boiling water (95-100 degrees C) without being damaged/melted? Thanks for any help.

HT1632 oddness

Hi, I've got 6 of the HT1632 (Adafruit 555 product) and experience random "outages" on some of the panels. Most of the time, the my code and things work fine, but I find that when the unit is left on for anywhere from an hour to 24, i'll experience random "dead" panels. It is usu...

Re: Grand Central M4 Board Power Consumption?

Interesting. So the 40 mA on a MEGA output pin is now closer to 8 or even just 2 mA on the 3.3V Grand Central. Is that also the case with the DUE? It's probably somewhere around there. 32-bit microcontrollers are made for smarts and speed, not for power. https://www.arduino.cc/en/Hacking/PinMapping...

Re: Connect MEGA2560 to ESP8226 Module

Good job getting parts of it working! String needs to be capitalized, as it's an object. Try this (untested) for converting the temperature to a string and assigning it to Temperature: Temperature = String(79); (Since capitalization is reserved in C++ by most developers for objects , I'd also sugges...

How effective is varying sample rate to change pitch?

I've noticed that I can change the pitch of a sample by just changing the playback rate, e.g. >>> length = round(16000 / 440) >>> samplesints = array.array("H", length // 2 * [0] + (length - length // 2) * [65535]) >>> samples = audioio.RawSample(samplesints, sample_rate=16000) >>> dac.pla...

Re: BLUEFRUIT LE I/O MODE -NO RESPONSE TO CAPABILITY QUERY O

Thanks

I have made changes to the config.h as suggested and selected the SPI hardware from the main sketch. The good news is that I can now control and receive data from the Arduino on the Ipad Pin I/O mode which now works.

Thanks for your help which is much appreciated.

Re: BLUEFRUIT LE I/O MODE -NO RESPONSE TO CAPABILITY QUERY O

You shouldn't need to copy in new code, just change the code that is there. You'll want to comment out some lines - the ones that don't apply to your setup. And you'll want to uncomment some others - the ones that do apply. But I think you should be able to use it as is. The example sketch already h...

Thanks for your recommendations. Re: BLUEFRUIT LE I/O MODE -NO RESPONSE TO CAPABILITY QUERY O

Thank you the Command works fine. Which sketch do I use to operate the Pin I/O module from the Ipad so that I can change a pin status from Input to Output and change the Output status from High to Low or vice versa?

thanks for your help
