Problem with peristaltic pump performance - product 1150 ID

Post by whitefeather »

Hi there,
I ordered two of your peristaltic pumps for my fluidics system and need them to function properly in sync. The problem is that they don't. One in particular seems to slip somewhere inside and spins for a time without pumping. This throws off my whole system. I've adjusted pmw power, etc and they just don't function reliably as they should. I saw that another poster was having the same issue. Can I get a replacement, or is this a common issue with these pumps?

It is difficult to control the speed of a brushed DC motor without some sort of tach or encoder feedback. To precisely match flow-rates you need stepper-motor powered pumps. Even those will drift somewhat as the tubing wears.

That said, the pump should not be slipping. If you contact [email protected] with a link to this thread we can replace the slipping one.
