My Birthday Present = PI3 DOA :-(

by zurkeyon on Wed Apr 13, 2016 12:48 am

Hello,

After purchasing another PI3 last month for my work (RasPBX), I thought i might want one for myself.
The Unit Arrived DOA. I have a fully updated PI3 next to it, and it boots all 3 of my updated cards. (2x Jessie w/2.8tft, 1x RasPBX)
All these cards were built in the past 3 days, and work perfectly in another Pi3 Rev B, that is not even 2 months old.
This PI3 hangs on boot, in a different place each time, and refuses to function with any of my updated images.
I have never gotten it to complete the boot process since opening it.

Now it appears that I get to pay to ship my Birthday present back to Adafruit.

Meaning my birthday present will now come 2 weeks after my birthday, and at additional cost...

These return and DOA policies are not cool adafruit... At all.

Adafruit,

Thank you for taking care of this.

Your rep contacted me earlier today, and this matter was resolved.

Steve

Follow up question...

Where do I need to send the old unit back to?

Will there be instructions/info for that with the replacement?

Please let me know so I can get this unit back to you for inspection.

Thanks,

Steve
