Not booting up

Post by crstrater »

Hello, my minipov4 is not starting up. Following other posts here I double checked the soldier joints, made sure pin 7 on the atmega is receiving the correct voltage, and plugged in the USB on my Windows 10 machine. Windows does not recognize it as a USBtiny. Judging by the other posts here I may have received an unprogrammed chip?

I know it's been over a year but I still have the miniPOV4 and never received a reply to this. If it's too late to get a replacement chip then are there any instructions to upload the firmware?

This is kind of an extreme case, but the clock for returns stops when you make your first post here to the forums.

When did you get the MiniPOV kit?

I think it was a few days before I made the original post, so late July 2020. Is getting the IC replaced the only option? I have an Arduino Uno if I can use that to flash the code for it.

Thanks. That means you're still eligible for a replacement.

Send a note containing a link to this page and your order number to [email protected]. The folks there will get you a programmed ATmega328, or get you on the list for a full replacement if you'd prefer.

I'll also ask them to give you a $25 gift certificate since we dropped the ball on this one.
