MINIPOV 4 RED LED INCONSISTENT

by Tekkaz72 on Sun Mar 11, 2018 7:54 am

Hi, just finished soldering up my MINIPOV 4 and when i switch it on it lights up Green first, followed by Red and then Blue as opposed to Red,Green and Blue as stated in the testing part of the LEARN. Also it appears very randomly that RED does not light up at all on startup and then cycling display. If i happen to short the rear of the board with my fingers (around the three 2.2k resistors and transistors) whilst the leds are cycling red sometimes appears and i can get it to stay on consistently when switching the board on and off but if put the board down on my table sometimes if it moves slightly it just goes back to blue and green again. Could someone please help me? Should i get the multimeter out and test? Any tips? Pretty sure i have done everything properly and followed the instructions carefully but i may have missed something. I might also add that windows 10 always reports a malfunction when plugged in via USB, but does appear in the device manager when switched on. Thanks,
