high power led's ?

Post by jasonx »

Hi What would be the highest power led's I could drive with the microcontroler ?
I vaguely remember reading on the forums that it was about 80 mA but I have been unable to find it again :(
Would these be suitable ? http://www.rapidonline.com/sku.aspx?tie ... ef=72-8988
I'm trying to build a minipov powered rear push bike light hence the need for bright led's

The spec for the 2313 is 40 mA per pin, but no more that 200 mA total for the chip. So for 8 LED on at the same time, 200 / 8 = 25 mA per LED.

These are brighter, but also narrow angle.
