Hi,
I have a MiniPov-Kit, a Mac with avrdude, the right driver for the USB2Serial.
When I enter in Terminal:
avrdude -p t2313 -P /dev/tty.PL2303-002075FD -c dasa -U flash:w:largeimage.hex
the programming seems to work LED3 permanently lighting, #1 and #2 blinking...
And after a while I get this:
avrdude: AVR device not responding
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
this check.
avrdude done. Thank you.
Does anyone have an idea?
Thank you very much in advance,
Anna

Re: Minipov+Mac+SB2Serial - ???
make sure you are powering the board when you try to program it.
check your soldering. look for cold joints on the db-25 connector. check the three diodes and r10-12.
did you build the board as a pov toy or something else? i have used a minipov board to drive an led cube and have to disconnect it from the outputs for led1 and led2 in order to be able to program it successfully.

Re: Minipov+Mac+SB2Serial - ??? solved
Thank you!
After digging further and further into this forum I found the most simple solution:
Even if connected to a powered hub: Connect the Serial Adapter to an USB port on your machine.
Thats it! And I found a cu.-file in my /dev-folder which looked more useful.
Oh man ... how long does programming take ....
