I need some help with building the b0x

Post by infekted »

Hi all,

I have recently aquired pcbs for x0xb0x project. I have looked at ladyada webpage and got my head around with regard to required parts and building process.
What I am struggling with is:

1. downloading eagle files (board file in particular) - I prefer to have it as a reference while building;
2. downloading firmware (ver. 1.05) and bootloader.

Links for Eagle sch and brd files do not work. I have seen some recent posts reporting this issue. So it is not only me.
I have found firmware repository on sourceforge. However, when I try to download the files, the download does not progress. Not sure what is the reason.

Could anyone direct me where I can get those (apart from the locations already mentioned)? If someone could upload them it would be even better.

I have briefly searched the forum and most of the links are dead or lead to dead websites hence this post.

Thank you.

Do you have a programmer?
W/o you can't flash the bootloader.
A slightly improved version could be found here:

Having that on your Atmel you can load the firmware hex files with conbox.

The Stock-Os is pretty simple and not much in use these days (find it attached anyway... but sorry, no guarantee on that ... )

Personally I prefer the MarOS

Thanks for the reply, attachment and useful links.

I do have a programmer so I think I should be ok. From what I have read so far, it seems that the process of programming the MCU is very similar to Shruthi devices.
I have not got this far what OS does what and what are the advantages of one over the other. But I will spend time to explore this subject.

By any chance, do you have Eagle board file? It would make my life so much easier.

Anyway thanks again for your input and advice. Much appreciated.
