#168 - USPS Global Priority Mail.
My package just went off the radar for 5 days, the USPS Tracking number was no help... and anyone who deals with Parcelforce in the UK knows how bad they are (they handle USPS parcels in the UK)
But it got here, and as expected UK customs gave me a slap!
56UKP to pay on my doorstep (82 EU)
customs = 6UKP
VAT = 37UKP
Parcelforce 'handling fee' = 13UKP

#187 travelled to germany.... and the customs people made me pay 49,48 euros.
they declared it to be a full synthesizer, regardless of the fact that i actually opened the packagefor them to show them that it is just a box of loose parts....
oh yeah, i also had to drive to the other side of town and a little further to pick my x0x up.
it seems that french people are actually a little bit more lucky with customs. well, but they have other problems, eh?

Hi,steev wrote:Which shipping method did you use? I wouldn't mind UK customs so much if they were remotely predictableianfuture wrote:I got it within two weeks from the US to UK.
I was made to pay about £34 by customs. Most of it VAT.
Later..

I used the cheapest one offered. So pretty good in the end.
