Making room for the BA662A, but using the BA6110 ...

sorry if this is a dumb question, I am new to electronics.

I want to make room for the BA662A, by using sip sockets at IC51A and B, and also using SIP sockets for Q1-Q4, and when I get a hold of the 662A, just pull out the transistors and the 6110.

Is there anything particularly wrong with this idea? Can you realistically mount the transistors on SIP sockets?

Edit: Spellchecked. Sorry 'bout that.
