First of all make sure your knob pointer really is pointing at bootload mode, mine was reversed on one of the x0x's i built. Also I've noticed I can only get the firmware upload to work after a fresh reboot and then going directly into control software, with x0x connected and ready to go, wait a few seconds and then do the upload, it can take a few tries to be honest, but I'm using Windows 7 so its probably be picky.

I can never connect to the x0xb0x, but i can upload the firmware anyway... maybe just try to upload it, despite you can't connect to the box?

Set the virtual usb->serial port to 1,2,3 or 4. Start c0ntr0l and select the port you use. Go to the x0xb0x>Upload Firmare, and select the fil. Thats how it works for me. And as i say, i can NEVER connect to the x0xb0x. But the firmware uploads just fine.

It is not my skillset but if any codeheads out there could contribute and rewrite control software into something that works, that would be a great service to us all.
I'd do a paypal donation for it and I bet so would any others who could afford it. But again this is a community effort so I am not asking for a commercial product. But it sure would get your name ouut there.
