Additional Env for VCO?

Post by mario1089 »

Hi everyone,
sold my Xox 3 years ago, missed it, now got a new one. So here I'm back.
Thinking about where I'd go with it this time.

What I'd really like to have would be 2 additional pots to make the VCO have an additional pitch envelope (decay only). Pitch would start higher than nominally (adjusted by 1st knob = Depth), then quickly decay (2nd pot = Decay) to nominal pitch.

Generally there is a VCO CV input somewhere, obviously. I guess adding another one requires an OP to add the voltages, if you want it properly, or not?

Then, for the decaying env, there should be 2,3 of such envelopes on the board, all triggered by either gate or accent. I'd just copy one of them and adjust values a bit, as the new decay should really quick mostly, ms-range. Trigger it by gate, just like the others and feed it into the adding OP.

Now, the problem is: That is the theory. Practically I'm lost at this point. If anyone could comment on that, and fill theory with a little practical life, that would be awesome.

Thanks in advance,

Mario
