It's an inkjet printable film. You simply print a mirror image on to it, apply the tack adhesive, let dry, cut out and apply by rubbing the backing till it comes free.

WOAH! I make my own waterslide decals that way, but I had no idea there was a similar method of making dry transfers! How well does it work making transfers in color? Do they require a clear coat to be applied afterward for durability?Altitude wrote:It's an inkjet printable film. have not tried the color on the anodized finish yet but have printed some superman logos for the kids and those look very nice. Its fairly durable and the tack adhesive is strong but a clear coat would definitely be a good idea in a high wear area. The clear backing is almost invisible..

I'd spray some fixative on that or it will quickly wear off
for smaller projects you can use nail varnish, although in the long end it will always wear off.

Ive always wondered if there is a way to re-anodize the metal with the ink on it getting adsorbed somehow. That would be great if doable. I just use a dymo label on things because I am lazy, those ones in the thread look a million times better. Good job with it.
