Not being near my b0x ATM, I try to recap this from the top of my mind:
When the starting point (the pattern selected at the beginning of a session) is any other than Patt 1, the jumps are rather relative than absolute. Like starting from Patt 5, then sending MIDI PGM 1 wouldn't lead you to Patt 1 on the b0x, but somewhere else.
Does my explanation make sense?

Hi everyone!
I hope I'm not posting off-topic here...
I've been trying to control my MarOS x0xb0x with the pads of my MPC (Midi Note mode). The Midi notes corresponding to the pads of the MPC are actually played by the x0xb0x... But the release doesn't work : the note continues until another pad is pressed, and then it switches to the new Midi note.
This is weird as I've tried the MPC with other synths (DSI OB-6 for instance), and the synths do stop playing the note when the pad is no longer pressed...
Is this a known issue of the x0xb0x / MarOS?

Normally External Midi note control works just fine on Mar OS.
Seems your MPC is at fault.
Maybe try reflashing the os to work it out!

I can confirm that a MPC (3000 in my case) plays MIDI notes to the x0x just fine.

That is weird as the x0x is the only synth of mine having this issue with the MPC (1000)...

Check with the MIDI THRU:
So MPC1000 to MIDI in, any other synth on MIDI THRU. Does it work proper?

If not: there is something wrong in the receiver part around the opto coupler in your x0x.

Yes, it is intended as open source.
At the moment I just stick to "ask for, if you want to have it", as there are still some (minor) issues to be fixed.
(MIDI program change, blink with R/S as long as it is waiting for sync to the next bar ...)

If you let me know about your changes I'll integrate them in the source. I already have some "#define" configuration switches for such features.

ATM I don't have the source here, I'll send it to you when I'm back home.

Since I'm not sure what exactly has changed by the EEPROM address overlap fix, can be more specifically descriped how the address parameters have changed therefor in the last source?

sorry for the late answer, find current source (Version 1.8.2) attached.

the code supports two CPU types, which are #defined by ATMEL studio:
__AVR_ATmega162__
and
__AVR_ATmega2561__
(... see main.c )


Some features can be switched on/off in main.h

You might want to switch of FLASHCRCCHECK (set it to 0), as that requires an external CRC generator program.
(... the crc calculator is made for (changes) the hex file and the procedure is untested for 2561... )

short feedback for 2561 compiling:
if I set in main.h

...then in ioinit() the 2561 compiled code will run checkFlash, which does not match. So I need just simple uncomment the line:
