Green LED's -> what resistor ?
My first x0x seems to be finished in the next few weeks and i want to build the second x0x with complete green LED's but what resistor is best for green diffused LED's. I want to order them from mouser, someone know the mouser partnr. and what resistor?

Re: Green LED's -> what resistor ?
See this post. But if you want green diffused resistors, what's wrong with these. Using Ohm's law, you technically only need ~140 Ohm resistors, but that's probably too low. A 1K should be fine. If you built the variable PSU along with the project, set it to 5V and hook up and LED with a 20K pot or so. Vary the pot so that the LED is at the intensity/brightness you want and then measure its resistance with a multimeter. Then get the closest valued resistor to this.

Re: Green LED's -> what resistor ?
Hm, thanks so far...i've to look for a 10-20 kpot to try this but my hope was that someone's posting here who have done a x0x with green LED's. As i'm going to order all parts from mouser i'll order the green LED's from mouser too.

I say that 1K resistors should be fine.

Re: Green LED's -> what resistor ?
for me 1k was a bit too much for green LED, I had to go around 400ohms to get healthy brightness (and I don't mean excessive brightness, just healthy). beware, same resistance for red burns it in a second

Re: Green LED's -> what resistor ?
I use 470ohm with mine. 2mm green led diffused by Lumex .

Re: Green LED's -> what resistor ?
It will depend on the green LED - ickky lime green ones have a different Vf to the nice deep green ones.
But the deep green ones are much more efficiant than the lime green ones.
Trial is best IMO.
