I don't have a flickr account (nor really want to sign up for yet-another-online-account just for that) so I'll post a link here. Big is 2000xH, small is 600xH. Since they're (cc) licensed, you can upload either one of them and leave my name in the flickr comment field. Enjoy.

Oops... I think one of the pins on the 8-pin socket didn't get soldered.

Finished my MintyBoost v3.0, using CR123A 3V batteries in parallel for a total of 6200mAh! Can work with only 1 battery, or two, or three, or all four.

Hi,
Recently put one of your fantastic kits together. I haven't done anything different to it(yet) - just changed the placement of the innards - I hate to have usb port sticking out.
I also don't have flicker/picasa accounts... but here are the pictures from my site;

Keep up the great work!!

Here's my build of the MintyBoost. I added the unnecessary switch and improved the appearance of the USB cutout:

Hi, I just completed my MintyBoost V3 kit the other night. It was easy and fun. While my soldering skills leave a little to be desired, especially with my old soldering iron that should probably be tossed along with some tip cleaner that is not very clean and some big gauge solder, well... with all that said, I had success, my multi-meter readings were good, etc. I jumped my inner USB 2&3 right away. I will say the kit is very clean and refined, great job, Lady Ada, thank you. So far, I have tested successfully with my LG Thrive phone, a USB Xmas tree, and a 4th gen iPod Touch. Then I was left with a silver box with a USB sticking out, so I needed to make it mine. First, I added some red vinyl pinstriping around the bottom, mostly to seal the metal under the USB but overall I like it. Next was the search for other stickers. While I had a bunch of different thoughts, I found these cool retro travel stickers that I think are perfect for $1 @ Walmart. Thanks again for a great design and a nice project. BTW, I do have lithiums in waiting once I burn through these rayovacs. Here are some pics...

So far, I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying my new recently constructed Minty Boost USB charger. The entire process in placing my order, to final assembly of the kit was fast, simple, and quite easy! I found the detailed step-by-step instructions on the web site to be easy in understanding, as well as informative in other aspects surrounding this project too. Dubbed the "American Classic," my Minty Boost will see future usage whilst I'm away and out off on the beaten path somewhere, doing whatever serious adventurous athletic endeavor I currently might find myself on. Can't live without music y'all! To read and see some other photos of my building process, click on the provided link -
