Hi! I've been reading the iCharging tutorial because I want to built multiple outlet charger because there is an ever increasing number of Apple devices in need of juice. :-)
See this URL : https://learn.adafruit.com/minty-boost/ ... st-attempt
I've built a little test setup, simpler, with just an L7805CV connected to the 12V output of a modified PC power supply which is now my 'Lab' power supply.
To test with the voltages on the D+ and D- inputs I have connect them both to a 100K potentiometer so I can easily adjust the voltage. (see attached jpg)
To this setup I have connected an iPad v2.
With D- = 2.8v and D+ = 2.0v it only seems to draw 250mA and not 1000mA as the tutorial suggests.
Is there anything I'm missing, or perhaps a fault in my setup ?
Or did the sensing voltages change after the last update of this tutorial.
Any help is welcome :-) Thanks !
