Looks like it works, but isnt.

Replaced a cracked resistor pack, and an LED that had died, tested it on the bench with a HD magnet, seemed to work.

Got it back to the bike to test, and its as if its not seeing the magnet at all. Does X1 go bad often?

I don't seem to find much diag info, put batteries in both sides of led scroll test.
then it sits with 1 end on one side and # #6 on the front side.
Hit power button
Front side has # 9 on and #30 on. Back has #1 on.
No joy.
Hold down power button again, #9 goes off, #30 (button end being #1) on Front on, back all off.
Hit button again.
Front side has # 9 on and #30 on. Back has #1 on.
No joy.

Its consistent at least.
I can talk to it in the software, upload download check, all seem to work, so I take that as good, but thats it.

Suggestions?

I guess I'll replace X1 first?

Hall-effect sensors are pretty reliable. Do you have the bike magnet mounted as close as possible?

Well, almost as quickly and without reason that it stopped working, it seems to be working now. No changes except that I took the batteries out overnight.
