SpokePOV - Using it with more than one.

Post by The Flash »

Hey guys,

I am currently designing the SpokePOV, I was able to make my own crappy but usefull PCB and got all the parts to assemble it. Thats not my problem.

I noticed on your site LadyAda that you say if you use more than one SpokePOV on a wheel, you can get the POV effects at a lesser speed, which makes sense for obvious reasons. However, if you have more than 1 SpokePOV on a wheel, won't these guys be displaying the same graphics but at different time periods, therefore, you will get a distorted image? There is this site called www.hokeyspokes.com which I was checking out, they probably stole the idea from you. In any case, their "SpokePOV"'s are able to communicate with each other so they work seamlessy together.

Any comments?

nope, they all use the same magnet to sense location. think about it and it will become clear.
