Smooth animation concept

I had an idea for how to get smooth animation. The current method has you put each successive phase of the sequence into sequential banks and then set the animation setting to minimum. Each SpokePOV on the wheel is programmed the same way. The difficulty is that the different stcks never start at exactly the same time, so the the sticks are out of sequence depending on the random circumstances of stopping and starting.

So the idea is to instead of using the animation setting, make it some very large number say 255, but instead put each successive image phase on the different SpokePOVs on the wheel. The order of their installation on the wheel is the order that the viewer will see the animation. In the case of 3 SpokePOVs, you'd have a sequence with 3 frames updates at triple the wheel speed.

If you want you can use the animation timer setting to switch between different sets of animations, for example, bank one might have the running man sequence, bank 2 might have the spinng grears sequence, bank 3 might have the running rat sequence, etc.

Or, if you actually are able to get the individual SpokePOVs to start at the same time, then you can have longer sequences, for example, 3 sticks would offer a sequence 3*4=12 images long.
