Hi,
I've been wanting to get into making stuff on Adafruit for a while and I also think a friend of mine would really like this as a gift that we could build together. I have a few questions though:
1) How hard is this really to solder, attach, create images, and do everything else necessary to make this work for someone with no electrical engineering experience, as a first project?
2) I see the software runs on Windows and Mac. Does it work on Linux?
3) Does one of the kits (e.g. https://www.adafruit.com/products/5 or https://www.adafruit.com/products/19 ) give everything needed for a functional SpokePOV system? (Assuming one has soldering equipment like the starter kit: https://www.adafruit.com/products/136)
Thanks!

Re: Questions about SpokePOV before ordering
For product 5 you will need the magnet and the programming dongle. For the other kit it all come included. The assembly is described in the build plans so you can look over them and decide if you are capable. As to the software I will have to ask.
